Q) Am I a candidate for dental implants?

Anyone who is missing a tooth or several teeth may be a candidate for dental implants. Even if you have various health issues, you may still be able to safely support dental implants. In order to find out if you’re truly a candidate, we encourage you to schedule an appointment at either our Southlake or Arlington dental office. In order to support dental implants, a patient must be in good general health, have adequate bone, practice good oral hygiene routines, and be capable of complying with the instructions provided by Dr. Ravi Doctor. Don’t have adequate bone for a dental implant? Don’t worry! We perform bone grafting procedures as well, making it easy for most people to receive the tooth replacement treatment they desire most.

Q) Does your office offer anesthesia?

Dr. Doctor is committed to patient comfort, and every aspect of our offices in Southlake and Arlington, Texas is designed to keep your pain to a minimum. We offer local anesthetic, nitrous oxide, conscious sedation, and IV sedation to allow you to choose the level of pain maintenance with which you’re most comfortable. We provide conscious sedation because we believe it’s important that you remain awake while experiencing extreme comfort, and IV sedation can give you a greater amount of relaxation with great control on the part of the person administering the sedation. Because the dental implants process can take time, we do encourage patients to consider oral conscious sedation or IV sedation.

Q) How soon can I return to work after the surgery?

You’ll be amazed to learn that most patients can return to the majority of their normal activities the very next day after surgery. We know this is important for people who lead very busy and productive lives. However, we will discuss your specific case and plan with you and let you know what to expect from and how to best facilitate the healing process after your dental implants placement.

Q) How much do dental implants cost?

This is something we’ll need to discuss with you one-on-one, as the cost of your dental implants treatment will vary depending on your case. We want you to know, however, that your budget is important to us; we want our patients to be able to afford this revolutionary treatment for tooth loss. That’s why we accept CareCredit, a third-party financing option that provides you with payment plans for your dental care. We also work with Med Loan Finance, another option for financing your dental implants procedure.
